This post is a challenge. A challenge to YOU.
Yesterday I read a post by Natalia at Simply Faith, talking about a book she was reading called One Thousand Gifts. (Update: She found out there is actually some non Biblical and wrong content to the book and stopped reading it so NOT recommended). Anyways, she shared that a friend dared the author to write out a list of one thousand things she was thankful for.
I liked the idea so well that I decided to try and do it myself. I’m going to try to write at least 50 each day and finish it by the end of this month (April).
I want YOU to join me!
I would love if any of you would like to do this with me!!! So far I have written 127, but as I go along I am slowing down. 😆 Here are 25 from my list (in no particular order):
- Jesus
- The Bible
- Clouds
- Quiet mornings
- Puddles
- Birds
- Laughter
- Peppermint
- Music
- Sunday school
- Creeks
- Warm socks
- Popcorn
- Ladybugs
- The color blue
- Books
- Campfires
- Hot chocolate
- Hats
- Pizza
- Flags
- Parks
- Freedom
- Waterfalls
- Sunflowers
I hope you are feeling as inspired as I am! If you take this challenge (even if you decide to do just 50 or 100 on your list) then leave a comment below!!! I will try to write a post when I finish so you will know if I met my goal. =) Also, be sure and go check out Natalie’s blog before you go!
Yes! I accept your challenge. I don’t know how long it will take, but will start today.

Okay so totally doing this… but a friend warned me about that book. There’s some stuff that isn’t biblical. And I feel really bad for recommending it… I deleted the post because I don’t want to support it. I went to one of the last chapters and it was talking about her going to Paris to ‘make love with God’ and I just put it down because that’s not biblical. So the lesson about gratitude was REALLY good. But I’m probably not going to finish the book… if you do read it please be careful!
